Kitchen
There is a large fully equipped kitchen with doors opening onto a sunny terrace at the front with an eating area and barbecue. There are also glazed double doors opening onto the back garden, a great spot to watch the sunrise and where it is cooler in the afternoon. Cooking facilities are a large range style cooker with electric ovens and gas hobs. There is a dishwasher , washing machine and various electric kitchen equipment, such as a juicer, a smoothie maker etc. We love cooking, so if you do too, you will find all that you need. (If you don’t, there are restaurants nearby- see the “what’s to do” section). There is a small seating area in the kitchen with a coffee table for when it’s your turn to chill while being cooked for! There is a good size fridge with a small freezer.
Sitting Room
The sitting room has exposed beams and a wood burning stove for cooler evenings out of season. There are two large sofas, a coffee table and bookshelves with books and games for your use. We are a rare breed of non TV watchers, but we can provide a screen for watching films perhaps casting from your phone. (There is a Google chrome cast on the back of the TV). We have WiFi throughout the house and in some areas outside.
Bedrooms
Upstairs, there are four bedrooms. The largest is well cut off from the rest of the house with a double bed, its own ensuite with walk in shower and large clawfoot cast iron bath. There is a sofa bed in here for if you wish to sleep a family in here, and we can provide a travel cot.
The second largest bedroom has a king size bed (again hand made by Dave!), an ensuite bathroom with a walk in shower and a window seat.
There is a separate bathroom with shower, sink and wc that serves the other two bedrooms. Both of these bedrooms have double beds. All the bedrooms have beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. It should be easily possible to sleep up to 10 people, with four people in 2 doubles beds in the largest room, plus a cot can be provided on request.
Outside
There are several comfortable areas to sit with reclining chairs, patio sofas and armchairs, daybeds and hammocks. We love the covered deck over by the pool on very hot days as it is shaded and there is usually a light breeze. It is equipped with a daybed, hammock, tables and chairs, and a fridge to keep your beers and snacks cool. It’s a great place to lounge while the kids are in the pool. There is also a shower deck with water heated by the sun. From here you can access the raised deck where there is more outside furniture – sofa, armchairs and recliners. From here you have views of the huge 12x6m pool, jacuzzi and the fields around. You will have exclusive use of the pool apart from some hours that we can arrange with you to allow for essential pool maintenance. We have a changing room for privacy and a place to hang your towels and swimming costumes.
There is also a gravelled covered area next to the covered deck where you will find games such as “Molloky” and darts. We have a wooden cabin here with sofas, and games such as table football, books, drawing equipment etc. It is a useful second sitting room, so adults can escape from children and vice versa!
There is plenty of space to park as many cars as you like!
